Come to the Living Waters

“Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 4:14 · ESV

A weary traveller, a thirsty woman, and an offer that changed everything.

At noon, in the heat of the day, Jesus sat beside Jacob’s well in Sychar and asked a Samaritan woman for a drink. She came for water that would leave her thirsty again. He offered her something else entirely: water that becomes a spring inside, welling up to eternal life.

From Eden’s first river to the crystal stream flowing from the throne of God, Scripture keeps returning to this picture. God is the fountain. Our thirst is real. And the invitation is free.

If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.John 4:10
